A six-piece band from around Athens, Ohio, the Free Range Pickers bring to life the dance hall and radio sounds of the ‘30s and ‘40s. Drawing heavily from the classic sounds of Western Swing, the music is an amalgamation of old-time fiddling, early jazz, blues, and swing. Harmony vocals, guitar, twin fiddles, steel guitar, stand-up bass, and drums blend to create danceable music with an up-tempo beat.
