The Free Range Pickers are heading back to The Side Bar in Athens, Ohio as part of the Ohio Brew Week festivities. The Free Range pickers focus on classic Western Swing music, a blend of country, jazz, blues, and swing–aptly described as “jazz with a cowboy hat.” If you like the idea of country music with a jazz flair, you will enjoy the music of The Free Range Pickers. The 6-piece line-up features John Borchard on steel guitar with the twin fiddle sounds of Julia Farver and Mark Burhans. Chris Ridgway sings and picks the Telecaster, and Jonathan Sowers and Ken Dean hold down that solid rhythm and bass.

 

The Side Bar has it all! It is a local, women-owned bar and restaurant featuring craft cocktails and delicious, eclectic food with a unique, cozy atmosphere. Check out their current menu options on Facebook or on Instagram.
